love that owl...think I have to name him...hmmm...love having my little snips of tuille handy. How fun to see an original mini today on the freeway...shhh....probably shouldn't be taking photos while i'm driving! Was smaller than the newer minis! Love Urban Outfitters and the way they merchandise thier windows and displays...just had to get a shot cause I loved the way the palm trees are reflected in the window. hope you having a great weekend! xoxo

another great weekend...

whew...wish there were more weekends and less weekdays. Another great one! Started out with lots of treats on friday at work and going to our favorite sushi place that night. Saturday was nice and relaxing...went to the Oasis to hang out for a few hours while Dave went to a meeting. Hi Echo...fun to hang out with you! Got Emily's cute new Fontwerks alpha stampies...way to go em! Can't wait to play with them! Went today with my mom and dave to a local antique flea market (that's where that shoe chair photo was taken. Then went to lunch and to see Little Miss Sunshine. Loved it and can't wait to see it again! We have a new clothes store in our neighborhood too...thanks to my hubby I have a few new things. Umbrella decorated cupcakes were delish and from my mom...lucky us...thanks mom! xoxox

Jason Mraz...

concert was the end to a fantastic weekend. Went to the Jason Mraz gig at the Belly Up last night. This was the last concert of this tour so unfortunately you won't be able to see him anytime soon...in concert at least....but if you ever get a chance to go see him perform in concert....you MUST run don't walk! Jason and his band was/is so entertaining! How lucky am I to have a friend who is part of my work family that would invite me to be a VIP with her (as her son is Jasons manager)? Loved the gnome that the percussionist brought with him on stage...when I got home I told Dave about it and he said don't you get it? metroGNOME...silly me...of course...the guys in the band need to carry a metronome to stay in tempo...go figure! Loved it nonetheless! But more importantly love my sweet friend, Theresa! Thanks "SafeT", Bill and Jason! xoxo

busy bee....
doing lots of things this weekend and hoping to have some photos to share later! Went to Zinnia in Pasadena yesterday and walked around So. Pasadena. Zinnia is a really fun small store with lots of little trinkets and treasures for paper artsy schtuff! You should check it out if you're in that area! Then went to the Getty and had dinner at "The Restaurant". Really nice up there...you can see all the way to the ocean and all of Los Angeles. Going today to a special birthday party for 2 sweet girlies who turn 3. Hope you're having a great Labor Day weekend too! xoxo

the glass castle..
just finished this book! Had to share with you as it has really touched me and can't stop thinking about it. I haven't read a book that has affected me like this since the 2 James Frey books. This is also a memoir! You can read a little about it here! Let me know if you read it! Would love to hear what you think! xoxo
